|
|
I have only ventured into the Greenhouses a few times over the past three weeks or so due to heavy snow.
I have just found damage to young carnation cuttings where the shoots have been chewed off by mice at soil level. Thankfully most are safe as they are protected by a perspex top but a few plants have been ruined.
I have now put a good quantity of vermin bait around the floor and under the benches to hopefully prevent any further damage.
Thankfully my plants in 3.5 inch pots in the main are undamaged.
The persisting snow has clearly driven the mice into the warmth of the greenhouses so take my tip and put down traps/bait if you have not done so already.
Regards
